What we build for travel and hospitality businesses

Most travel and hospitality businesses run a booking system, a till and a CRM, and still lose hours moving information between them by hand. That is time your team could spend on guests. We build the software that takes that work on, shaped around how your business runs.

  • Guest apps and direct booking tools

Every booking that comes through a third party costs you a commission and a little of the relationship. We design and build apps, booking journeys and guest portals in your own branding, so people can book, check in and ask for something without going through anyone else.

  • Personalised guest communication at scale

Most messages to guests are written once and sent to everybody, because tailoring them by hand does not scale. We build tools that use what you already know about a booking, so each guest hears something relevant before they arrive, during the stay and after they leave.

  • Immersive and interactive guest experiences

Good ideas for what a visit could feel like often need more engineering than a team can carry in-house. We build the technology behind them, whether that is a trail people follow on their phones, an interactive layer in a physical space, or a game built around your own place.

  • Automation for everyday administration

Rotas, supplier paperwork, rate updates and end-of-month reporting all run on someone entering information that exists somewhere already. We look at where the hours go, then build automation for the parts that repeat, so your team spends the day on guests rather than on the back office.

  • Integrations between your existing systems

A booking system, a till, a channel manager and an accounts package rarely talk to each other as well as you were told they would. We connect them so information moves between them on its own. Tools that already do their job well stay, and we build around them.

  • Reporting and revenue dashboards

You already hold years of information about bookings, spend and which weeks fill early, and most of it sits in systems nobody opens. We bring it together into dashboards and reports your team can read at a glance, so decisions about pricing and staffing rest on what happened.

Built across travel and hospitality

A few projects we're proud to share, each one advancing our mission to raise the bar and build a better digital future with our clients.

  • Bellhopp

Bellhopp set out to give small independent hotels the kind of app-based guest experience the big chains offer, without losing the personal touch guests choose them for. CodeLeap designed and built the complete MVP, covering both the guest side and the staff side of a stay.

  • Cicerone

Cicerone Press is the UK's pre-eminent outdoor guidebook publisher, with a catalogue of over 450 titles and decades of heritage, and its readers increasingly wanted route information on the trail rather than in a book. CodeLeap built the app that carries the catalogue into a map-driven digital experience without losing the depth that makes the guides worth buying.

  • Dellar Davies

Dellar Davies is a specialist events agency in the travel sector where a few people were experimenting with AI independently, with no coordination and no shared view of what was possible. CodeLeap gave the leadership an impartial read on where AI genuinely fitted, function by function, together with a prioritised roadmap for acting on it.

Everything you might want to know before starting a project with us.

  • Often you should not, and the first thing we look at is what you already own. Where a booking system or a till does its job properly, it stays and we build around it. The work is usually in the joins between them rather than in replacing anything. Scope and price are fixed before we start, and payments follow finished stages rather than an open commitment.

  • An AI readiness assessment is £3,000 and takes a week, and it includes a verdict where AI is not worth the investment. Design and build of a first version starts at £5,000, and a full build from £15,000. Everything is fixed scope and fixed price, with payments split across milestones, so nothing beyond the current stage is committed. Costs are agreed in writing before any work begins, so there is no open-ended day rate.

  • It has to, so we plan for it from the first week. Most businesses in this sector already run a booking engine, a till and one or two other tools, and the useful work usually sits in connecting them rather than replacing any of them. Where a system has no route in, that constraint is identified during scoping rather than after the work has started.

  • Usually before, because the work is phased rather than delivered in one release. The first phase is scoped to be useful on its own, so a project can begin in the middle of a busy season without a long wait for anything you can use. Where a date cannot be met, that is established at scoping rather than discovered halfway through. Seasonal calendars are part of the plan from the start.

  • They will if the tool matches the job, which is why we spend the first part of a project watching how the work is done now. Anything that needs a week of training gets worked around at the front desk, so we design for someone on their first shift. Training material and handover notes are part of what we deliver. New starters should be able to pick it up on the day.

  • It is part of the design rather than a later step. Consent is recorded against each guest, so you can show what was agreed and when. Access is limited to the people who need it, hosting can sit in the UK, and removing someone's record is a single action rather than a search across several systems. All code and data belong to you on payment.
