What we build for creative businesses

Creative work moves quickly, and the software around it has to keep up, both inside the business and in what reaches the audience. We build for both: the tools your team works in every day, and the interactive work your clients come to you for.

  • Utilisation and profitability dashboards

Time gets recorded late, scope grows quietly and a retainer runs over before anyone sees it. The figures usually exist already, spread across timesheets, project tools and your accounts package. We bring them into one dashboard your team can trust and check every week.

  • Automation for everyday administration

Status reports, chasing timesheets, preparing invoices and writing the same client update a third time. We look at where the hours go and automate the parts that repeat, so the people you hired for creative work spend more of the week doing it and less of it reporting on it.

  • Productised tools you can sell

Many creative businesses have a method that only works when their own people run it. We help you turn that into a product a client uses directly, which changes what you can charge for and how many clients you reach. It is often smaller work than people expect.

  • Interactive campaign and audience experiences

A campaign idea can need more engineering than a creative team can carry. We build the technology behind it, whether that is an interactive experience, a tool the audience uses, or a branded character that responds to people, and we make sure it holds up in public.

  • Asset libraries and knowledge search

Brand guidelines, approved assets, past work and the reasoning behind old decisions sit in drives, threads and a few people's heads. We build searchable libraries that bring all of that together and keep it current, so a new starter or freelancer can find things without asking.

  • AI tools and governance

Your people are already using AI tools, and clients are asking where their material goes and who approved it. We build AI into tools you control, so the work stays in your own systems, a person approves what reaches a client, and there is a record of it.

Built with creative teams

A few projects we're proud to share, each one advancing our mission to raise the bar and build a better digital future with our clients.

  • Dogs Trust

Dogs Trust, one of the UK's largest animal welfare charities, wanted an interactive feature on its website that would both educate visitors and guide them. CodeLeap built the quiz and integrated it into the existing platform, coordinating across the charity's teams and the separate development and integration parties involved.

  • AWS CloudRoom

Amazon's CloudRoom initiative pairs schools around the world with AWS employee volunteers who teach students about cloud technology, and doing that by hand across many territories was never realistic. CodeLeap built the platform behind it alongside creative agency Marble London, and it reached thousands of students in territories from Tokyo to Dubai to New York.

  • Automated vehicle video generation

A company working in automotive imaging wanted a branded promotional video for every vehicle listing, at a volume no editing team could reach. CodeLeap built the video system end to end, and it has run in production since, producing listing videos with no human editing step.

Everything you might want to know before starting a project with us.

  • It depends on scope, and the figures are fixed before you commit. An AI readiness assessment is £3,000 and takes a week. Design and build of a first version starts at £5,000, and a full build from £15,000. Every project is quoted at a fixed scope and a fixed price, with payment split across milestones as each piece of work is finished, so you are never paying ahead of delivery.

  • You tell them exactly where it goes, because you decide. What we build runs on infrastructure in your name, hosting can sit in the UK, and client material does not have to pass through a public tool at all. Where a model is used, we can keep a record of what was sent and who approved the output, which is what a client audit clause asks for.

  • Often you should not, and that is worth establishing early. Much of what we build connects tools you already pay for rather than adding to them, and some projects end with fewer subscriptions than they started with. Where an existing tool already handles part of the work properly, it stays in place and we build around it, which usually makes the project smaller and cheaper to keep running.

  • Yes, and several clients do. All code and intellectual property transfers to you on payment, so you can licence it, put your own name on it or fold it into what you charge for. That changes the commercial case, because the build stops being an internal cost and becomes something the business earns from. We are used to working under a client's own brand, as the technical team behind it.

  • Either us or whoever you choose, and that decision stays with you. We offer managed hosting, support and a fractional CTO arrangement for a business that wants senior technical judgement without hiring for it. Continued support is not a condition of keeping what has been built, and the work can be handed to another team at any point, with the documentation and access they would need to pick it up.

  • Not usually, if the work sits around AI rather than inside it. The steady parts of a project, such as connecting systems, structuring your information and getting approval into the right hands, hold their value whatever the models do next. The parts that depend on a particular model are built so they can be swapped without rebuilding everything around them, which is the expensive part to rebuild.
