Best AI Agency in the UK? How to Compare Seven (2026)
Who fits your project? There is no single best AI agency in the UK. The right one depends on what you are building, what you can spend, how much of the thinking you want the agency to do and who will write the code. What you can do is compare agencies on the same facts. Below we explain how, then set seven UK agencies side by side, A to Z. Each entry gives where it is based, the AI services it lists, who it says it serves, its published prices and its Clutch rating.
We wrote this guide, so here is the disclosure up front. CodeLeap is an AI agency and is one of the seven. The agencies are in alphabetical order, and being listed is not a ranking or an endorsement. Every fact about an agency comes from its own website and its Clutch profile, as we checked them on 25 October 2026. If any detail is wrong or out of date, the agency can tell us and we will correct it. We build AI agents and run an AI readiness assessment, so we say plainly where we fit at the end.
Key takeaways
- No UK AI agency is the best for every job. Fit depends on what you are building, your budget and who does the work.
- Compare agencies on the same facts: the services they list, who they say they serve, published prices, case studies, and a Clutch rating read alongside its review count.
- The seven agencies below are in alphabetical order. This is not a ranking, and CodeLeap, which wrote the list, is one of them.
- Some agencies publish prices and some do not. Compare a discovery with a discovery and a build with a build.
- Shortlist three, send each the same brief, and ask the questions in our guide to choosing an AI automation agency.
Is there a best AI agency in the UK?
No single agency is the best AI agency in the UK for every project. A firm that suits a ten-person business automating its quotes can be the wrong choice for a department rolling out AI across thousands of staff.
A ranked list reflects the criteria of whoever wrote it, and those may differ from yours. This guide does not rank anyone. It shows you how to compare, and it puts the facts for seven agencies in one place.
What types of AI agency can you choose from?
Agencies call themselves agencies, studios, consultancies or labs, and the labels overlap. Think about the kind of work you are buying instead.
| Type | Suits | Ask about |
|---|---|---|
| AI product studio | A new AI product or feature | Who builds it and owns the code |
| Automation specialist | Repeating back-office work | Which of your systems it connects to |
| Data and ML consultancy | Forecasting, models, data work | Whether your data supports the idea |
| Large consultancy | Programmes with heavy governance | Who does the day-to-day work |
An AI product studio designs and builds software with AI inside it, from one feature to a whole product. An automation specialist takes over repeating work such as reading documents, drafting replies or moving data between systems, often with AI agents handling the steps that need judgement.
A data and machine learning consultancy starts from your data and builds models that forecast, classify or score. A large consultancy suits programmes where procurement, governance or scale dominate, and it can be more than one project needs.
Many firms do more than one of these, so read what an agency lists and publishes and treat the label as a hint.
How do you compare UK AI agencies?
Compare them on the same seven things, in writing, so that you are looking at like with like.
- Scope fit. Does the agency list the kind of work you need, such as agents, document processing, data science or a new product, or only a general AI headline?
- Evidence. Are there case studies close to your job that say what was built? Can you open the product or speak to the client?
- Who it serves. Agencies say what size of business they work with. A firm that writes about enterprises and one that writes about 50-person companies will run a project differently.
- Prices. Some publish prices and some ask you to get in touch. A discovery and a build are different products, so compare each with its own kind.
- Reviews. Read the rating with the number of reviews and the date of the latest one.
- People and place. A London office tells you where a company is registered or led. Ask where the people doing the work sit and whether they are employees. Our guide to choosing a software development company in London covers that question.
- Terms. Note what each agency publishes about fixed prices, payment stages and code ownership.
This article stays with published facts. The questions to ask on a call, the red flags and the pricing models are in our guide to choosing an AI automation agency. We do not repeat them here.
Which UK AI agencies did we include, and why?
We included an agency when it met all four of these tests:
- A UK office or registration, shown on its own website.
- AI or automation services listed on its own website.
- Public case studies.
- A Clutch profile with at least two reviews.
Candidates came from Clutch’s UK artificial intelligence listings and a live search. We kept those where we could read both the website and the Clutch profile in full on 25 October 2026. Other agencies meet the tests too, so the list is not complete.
Each entry uses the same fields and only what the website and the Clutch profile say. We have added no judgements about quality and no comparisons. Prices are as published on each agency’s own site on that date and may have changed since. If you work at one of these agencies and a detail is out of date, tell us through the contact form on this site and we will correct it.

How should you read the Clutch ratings?
Clutch says it verifies reviews using reviewer-provided information and online research. It also says that when it cannot verify the reviewer’s identity or project details but the information is still useful for buyers, it publishes the review marked Not Verified (Clutch Help Center). So look for that marker on the profiles you read.
Then read each rating beside its review count. The counts above range from 6 to 75, and a rating from a handful of reviews tells you less than the same rating from dozens. Check the date of the latest review, and read the reviews that mention a problem as well as the five-star ones. Most profiles also show a minimum project size and an hourly rate band, though some leave out the hourly rate, so check those against your budget.
How do you shortlist from here?
Work through five steps.
- Decide the type of work. A product, an automation, a data model or a programme each points to a different kind of agency.
- Pick three agencies. Choose the ones whose listed services and case studies sit closest to your job.
- Send all three the same one-page brief. Cover the problem, who uses the result, which systems it touches and what a good outcome looks like in hours or pounds.
- Compare answers in the same shape. Put a discovery against a discovery and a build against a build, and ask for each price in writing.
- Ask for a reference call. Many case studies are anonymised, so ask early for a client with a project like yours.
If you are not sure which process to hand to AI first, our guides to where automation pays off and the AI readiness checklist will help you write the brief.
Where CodeLeap fits, and your next step
We fit when you have a named job for AI inside your own systems and want the price fixed before work starts. AI agents start from £5,000. Scope and price are agreed first, you pay by milestone, and all code and IP are yours once the work is delivered and paid for. You can cancel a build within the first 21 days for a full refund.
We fit when you are not sure where AI would pay off. The AI readiness assessment is £3,000 for one week and gives an honest verdict where AI is not worth it. Our AI automation consulting page covers the wider work.
We do not fit when you need engineers in your office every day, because our team is remote.
Whoever you choose, write the one-page brief from step three, send it to three agencies from this list or your own research, and compare what comes back.
If you want us to be one of the three, a free 20-minute consultation will tell you which start fits: an AI readiness assessment, a first AI agent, or another route.
Frequently asked questions
Which AI agencies in London should I consider for building an AI product?
Shortlist by what you are building and what you can spend. Our list sets out seven agencies that name London as a base, from A to Z, with the services each lists, who it says it serves, published prices and Clutch rating. It is not a ranking, and we are one of the seven. Pick three, send each the same brief and compare like with like.
Who is the best AI agency in the UK?
There is no single best agency for every project, and we do not rank anyone. The right fit depends on what you are building, your budget and who you want doing the work. Compare agencies on the same facts: the services they list, who they say they serve, published prices, case studies, and a Clutch rating read alongside its review count.
How much does an AI agency cost in the UK?
It depends on whether you are buying a discovery, a proof of concept or a production build. Agencies that publish prices show them on their own sites, and some publish none, so compare like with like and ask for a written price. Ours are fixed before work starts. The AI readiness assessment is £3,000 for one week, and a first AI agent starts from £5,000.
How do I choose between AI agencies?
Compare them on the same seven things: scope fit, evidence, the size of business they serve, prices, reviews, where the people sit, and terms such as fixed price and code ownership. Then send three agencies the same one-page brief. Our guide to choosing an AI automation agency covers the questions to ask on a call.
How reliable are Clutch ratings when comparing agencies?
Clutch says it verifies reviews using reviewer-provided information and online research. It also says that when it cannot verify the reviewer's identity or project details but the information is still useful for buyers, it publishes the review marked Not Verified. Read the rating together with the review count and the date of the latest review. A rating from a few reviews tells you less than the same rating from dozens.
